Given that he is seated in a P-47 and his other credited victory was an Me262 damaged December 23, 1944 it seems likely this refers to his damaged claim November 3, 1943. His regular aircraft at this point would have been YJ-K “Squirt” (a/c P-47D-5-RE 42-8674). *
