Originally assigned to 79th TCS, 436th TCG, 9th AF USAAF. Subsequent to WWII, sold to French Navy.

Assigned to 79TCS, 436TCG, 9AF USAAF. Flew on 2 x missions on D-day Op 'Albany', Op 'Elmira' and later on Op 'Varsity' [Rhine crossing]. Sustained 100+ hits on 'Elmira' which she returned safely from, but which took her out of service for 4 days for repairs.
Post war: To French Navy as N98BF. Now being returned to former RAF Membury from where she flew and to be returned to flight as a flying memorial. Under restoration to flight, to be based at Membury. - http://www.night-fright.com
