Hurricane

Hawker Hurricane Mk I V6844 flown by VIII Air Force Service Command Pilot, Col L B Hillsinger, Lt Col L.B. Hillsinger was badly wounded as an observer onboard the destroyer HMS Berkeley sunk during the Dieppe Raid on Aug 19, 1942.
The Hurricane is one of 500 manufactured by Gloster Aircraft from late 1939 to 1940.
V6844 was a Mk I and was transferred to USAAC in Oct/42 having previously been with 24 Sqn RAF.
