This aircraft was originally assigned to 133 Squadron RAF but was transferred to 8th Air Force, 4th Fighter group, 336 Squadron on 22-August-1942. The aircraft was flown by 2Lt Gene P. Neville in escort of American bombers attacking the German airfield of Porjeau at Morlaix, France. The aircraft was shot down by anti-aircraft fire over the Brest Peninsula and crashed near Guingamp, France, Lt. Neville was KIA.
