B-17 Flying Fortress
Delivered March 5-Sep-39; Davis Monthan Field, with Don Johnson, crashed Santa Catalina hills, 14 miles South of base following an engine fire, burned out, 6 Killed in Service and two bailed & RTD 6-Apr-42. Salvaged 8-Apr-42. This aircraft never served in combat and was never posted to the UK.
